Nature
and Terroir

The harmony of elements, the breath of Maremma.

At Torre Civette, every natural element interacts with the others. It is in this perfect interplay that our terroir is born - a complex and living ecosystem, where sea, wind, light, earth, and man work together to create a unique identity.

The Tyrrhenian Sea is more than a backdrop: it is an active presence, shaping the contours of the vines with its marine breezes. Its rugged coasts, the Mediterranean scrubland scented with resin, and the vibrant green of pine forests form a primordial and unspoiled landscape.

Its proximity moderates the climate, enriches the wines with freshness and minerality, and provides balance.

The soils, within the protected area of Bandite di Scarlino, tell their geological story: sands, clays, silts, rocks, and iron.

A heterogeneous texture that allows roots to penetrate deeply and produce grapes of great concentration and structure. Here Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot are born, nourished by rich and generous soil.

The Mediterranean climate completes this natural balance. Hot and dry summers, nights cooled by breezes, mild and rainy winters – each element contributes to an ideal, slow maturation, imparting to every cluster the memory of sun and wind.

The winds are discreet, constant allies that dry, purify, and guide growth.
Among them the mistral wind, travels through the vines, marking the rhythm of the seasons.

Biodiversity is the final voice in this natural symphony. Holm oaks, strawberry trees, cork oaks, and wildlife that populates the woods and field edges. And she - the owl - silent queen of these Tuscan nights.

Everything lives, everything intertwines.
